A Letter To My Baby

Warning: Super long post ahead. Read at your on risk!!!

Dear D,

Congratulations Baby, you have achieved yet another milestone in your eventful life. You turned 2 on 31st March 2014 and what a journey it has been thus far....

I still remember the day, seven weeks before you were born, a sonography revealed that you had the cord around your neck. I was in despair. Until then, I had heard about quite a few instances of the cord around the baby's neck and none of them reassuring. For months, I was told to sleep, get up and turn in a particular position to avoid this problem, none of them endorsed by doctors of course. And here I was, with this terrible report in my hand. The gynaec though was totally nonchalant.

Lunching Out With D

I know I have been MIA for a loooonnnngggg time now. Been super busy with a ton of things. D's birthday is coming up soon, so loads of preparations on that front too :)

Recently we went out for a family lunch to Pop Tate's. I love the cool,chilled out ambience of the place. We feasted on tacos, chicken lollipops (the best I have had in my life so far), fish and chips and kiwi and litchi juices to wash it all down *burrrp*. Needless to say D was on top of the world, what with all the chicken and fish to pig out on :)

Shopping With The Kids

I am kind of terrified by the idea of taking along kids to the supermarket.
I have seen it happening to other parents....turn away for a moment and *crash!!!* a jar of expensive coffee lies shattered on the floor! Needless to say you have to pay up.

Temper Tantrums - Mine, Not The Baby's!

D saw the muesli jar in the kitchen and asked me for some. He likes to eat it just like that. I put some in a bowl and gave it to him. D ate some and then turned the bowl upside down, scattering the remaining muesli on the floor. I told him this was not right and that he should have returned the bowl back to me if he didn't want to eat anymore. D just kept quite and looked at me as I proceeded to clean up the floor.

Lets Pack Up

The room is littered with toys to the extent that there is no way you can put your foot down without stepping on to something and going...OUCH!!!

Games We Play - Supermarket

Like most kids, D gets bored of his toys quite easily. So yours truly needs to invent new games every now and then. After a few trips to the market (with D) recently, I came up this new game :)

A Bit Of Shopping And A New Toy For D

Went shopping for a few knick knacks yesterday and tagged D along.

At the crafts store, I asked the store guy for an embroidery ring and few other things. He kept the embroidery ring on the counter and went get the other stuff. By the time he came back, D's cap was lying on the counter and  the ring on the brat's head. :P

I entered a shop selling kiddie stuff to buy D's baby lotion. Again, he perched himself on the counter, helped himself to a few packets of squeaky bath toys.

When it was time to go, he tells me, "Amma, please keep the packet there" and then proceeded to put back the toys himself!!! :D
