Hey People,
How was your Valentine's Day?
Mine was nothing special, what with DD out of town on some work assignment :(
So to bring in a wee bit of V-Day cheer, I decided to make some Apple Halwa. This is an easy peasy recipe that you can make in a jiffy. Here goes....
Ingredients:
2 large apples, grated (minus the skin)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbspn ghee
a pinch of cinnamon powder
3-4 almonds thinly sliced (optional)
Method:
In a pan, heat the ghee.
Add the grated apples and sugar. Mix.
Stir occasionally. Cook on medium heat till the moisture evaporates.
Add the cinnamon powder and mix.
Spread on a greased tray and garnish with the sliced almonds.
You can either allow it to set and cut into square pieces or just serve it in a dessert bowl.
Tastes delicious anyway :P
