Lunching Out With D

I know I have been MIA for a loooonnnngggg time now. Been super busy with a ton of things. D's birthday is coming up soon, so loads of preparations on that front too :)

Recently we went out for a family lunch to Pop Tate's. I love the cool, chilled out ambience of the place. We feasted on tacos, chicken lollipops (the best I have had in my life so far), fish and chips and kiwi and litchi juices to wash it all down *burrrp*. Needless to say D was on top of the world, what with all the chicken and fish to pig out on :)

D usually prefers eating rice. So we ordered some green thai chicken curry and rice. Not spicy, yet adequately flavoured....totally yummm! However, on that particular day, the brat decided he did not want to eat rice, only chicken and fish....hmphfff!!! :-|

The table got a little messed up, what with the brat spilling over some gravy. The waiter cleared up the table but missed out a small portion. D, the cleanliness freak that he is, loudly called out, "Uncle, here here", gesturing towards the spill! Before the waiter came back, D grabbed some tissues and attempted to clean up the table himself. #-o

The brat has this funny habit of poking his head in front of strangers and giving them his sweetest smile. He won't stop until the target smiles back and says, " So cute!" or something on those lines 8-|. There was a man seated at a nearby table. The brat made several attempts at befriending him with his smile. The man remained oblivious to D. Finally, D gave up, turned to me and said,

"Amma, angry uncle, very angry uncle, not laughing  (smiling) at D!" :P

  1. Hahaha you have a cute brat! My nearly-3-year-old is similar too, total cleanliness freak (unlike me!) plus he loves to chat up strangers! :-)
Btw, I thoroughly dislike such rude people who think it's beneath their dignity to give a friendly child a smile. In such situations, I do what your son did and proclaim loudly to my son that he shouldn't be bothering such a morose/angry personage! :-P

Yeah it was kind of weird the way he was ignoring the kid, but maybe he was intensely daydreaming for all we know :D
